Hannah Picton

Hello! I’m Hannah Picton, a Research Fellow in Glaciology at the University of St Andrews working on the ‘Calving Law for Ice-Climate Simulations’ (CALIX) project funded by the European Research Council.

I recently submitted my PhD thesis at the University of Edinburgh, entitled ‘The influence of climatic forcing on the dynamics of the Greenland Ice Sheet’. I have a particular interest in analysing ice dynamics at marine-terminating outlet glaciers, using satellite imagery and remote sensing techniques.
